Listen Local 

Chick Camp started in 2008 at Lake Jennings Campground. Ladies only. Gathering, camping, cooking, drinking, making art, playing music and relaxing with the gals. This event has taken place at least once a year since then and has become a fundraiser for Listen Local, helping to keep the show on the road. This year's camp will take place at Surprise Farm Retreat in Ramona, CA. $100 per camper includes a welcome cocktail on Friday and vegetarian dinner on Saturday plus arts/crafts (some projects have a small fee). Check in at noon on Friday October 18th, check out noon on Sunday October 20th. Friendly/quiet dog friendly, adults only (daughters 18+ welcomed), tent and car camping PLUS you can upgrade to one of Surprise Farm Retreat's amazing glamping tents. Surprise Retreat Center is a magical place in Ramona, CA and the weather in October will be incredible. Camp opens at noon on Friday, October 18th and check out is noon on Sunday October 20th. Your $100 fee includes a welcome cocktail on Friday evening, a vegetarian dinner on Saturday night, fireside snacks and a few arts and crafts projects. Some projects will be hosted by other campers and may include a small fee for materials. There is an outdoor kitchen area with bbqs and a pizza oven and more that you may use when preparing your meals. Please bring everything you'll need for your meal preparation and ice chests to keep your food and drinks cold. Additional ice will be available on Saturday late afternoon. There will be a coffee maker you can use, again, please byo EVERYTHING you'll need. Other things to bring when camping: a camp chair, headlight or flashlight, bug spray, sunblock, lip balm, wet wipes, hat, closed shoes or boots, your adult beverages, plate and utensils, musical instruments, art supplies, games, friendly/quiet dogs and anything else that will make your camping experience the best it can be! Holler with questions! 

Reserve your CHICK CAMP pass now! Your $100 fee is non-refundable but transferable up to 1 month prior to the event. If for some reason you are not able to attend this year's Chick Camp your $100 credit can be used to attend next Spring's CHICK CAMP or for art, video, photo, fashion or other services Cathryn offers. Your credit will be good for up to 2 years in Listen Local land! Cancelations after 1 month prior to event or "no shows" will not receive a credit. Thank you for understanding! Besides Saturday dinner and a welcome drink, your $100 Chick Camp pass includes a space for your tent or car.

As of 8/10/24 there are 2 byo Tent spaces and 2 car/van camping spaces. 2 Small RVs or trailers spaces are available in the farm stand parking above the retreat which is a short hike to the festivities. If you would like to rent a tent from the retreat center please contact Cathryn to reserve it. CANCELATIONS: You may cancel and get a refund less $20 handling fee from Surprise Farm Retreat up to 1 month prior to the event. Cancelations after that time will not receive a refund or credit, however you may transfer your reservation to another girl. Thank you!
